Because every moment matters, you can pay your annual service fee by direct debit. It's a fast and convenient way to pay and ensures your emergency record is always available, should you need it.

How do I set up my Direct Debit with MedicAlert?

Current members

If you pay your membership fee by cheque or card each year, your'll find that Direct Debit takes the hassle out of renewing as it's so quick and convenient. You won't need to worry about renewing again! Download your Direct Debit form here and send it to us at the above address with a note of your membership number. (This starts with with GB and can be found on the back of your disc and on your paperwork!)

We'll send you a reminder just before your payment is collected each year. We'll also ask you to check that the details we hold for you are current and correct. Your record is as individual as you are, so it's important you're happy with your information. If you need to make an update at any time, let us know and we'll do the rest!

 

New members

If you've just joined us - thank you and welcome! You need to pay for your first years service at the time you register; you can then download your Direct Debit form here for future payments. It's the easiest way to ensure your record is available, should you need it in an emergency.

The Direct Debit Guarantee

  • This Guarantee is offered by all Banks and Building Societies that accept instructions to pay Direct Debits.
  • If there are changes to the amount, date or frequency of your Direct Debit, The MedicAlert Foundation will notify you 10 working days in advance of your account being debited or as otherwise agreed.

  • If you request The MedicAlert Foundation to collect a payment, confirmation of the amount and date will be given to you at the time of the request. If you request the organisation to collect a payment, confirmation of the amount and date will be given to you at the time of the request.

  • If an error is made in the payment of your Direct Debit, by the MedicAlert Foundation or your Bank or Building Society, you are entitled to a full and immediate refund of the amount paid from your Bank or Building Society.

  • If you receive a refund you are not entitled to, you must pay it back when The MedicAlert Foundation asks you to.

  • You can cancel a Direct Debit at any time by simply contacting your Bank or Building Society. Written confirmation may be required. Please also notify us.
