GPs and Clinics
How can MedicAlert help to support the work of GPs and who should GPs be referring to MedicAlert's services?
The information recorded on a MedicAlert Emblem and in member's personal record will help you if you don't have their notes and need to acquire their medical history urgently.
Up to 1 in 3 people would benefit from MedicAlert's emergency identification system for existing conditions, allergies and advance wishes. Many more than this may wish to use MedicAlert's identification system to record information such as blood group and next of kin information.
Which medical conditions and allergies does MedicAlert cover?
- Any existing medical conditions such as diabetes, epilepsy and heart problems
- All allergies or reactions for example to medications, insect stings, latex
- People with mental health conditions such as Alzheimer's or manic depression
- People who regularly take medications
- People who have received an implant or an organ transplant

- People who wish to use the system for next of kin information or other information such as blood group
