London Marathon
If you think you are up to the marathon challenge of 26.2 miles, then contact us and we'll explain how you can support MedicAlert.
We can guide you through the application process, keep you updated with training tips and even tell you where Team MedicAlert will be on race day!
Our very own Trustee, Sanjeev Gupta and Head of Communications, Chris Lunn have both run several marathons. They will once again be running on April 26th and are keen to hear from any interested runners to join Team MedicAlert.
If you have been accepted to run in the 2009 Flora London Marathon but are still looking for a charity to support - The MedicAlert Foundation wants to hear from you!
Chris Lunn from MedicAlert says:- "We would be delighted to hear from any accepted runners who would like to support MedicAlert. For every £25 raised, we can support the membership of someone on a low income who may need this vital service. Please get in touch and find out how you can help to save lives."
Money raised for MedicAlert will help provide the potentially life-saving service to all those who need it, regardless of their financial position. This includes many people with long-term, chronic medical conditions. Funds will also go towards maintaining and improving all services to Members, including manning the emergency response line and the extensive, ongoing education and training programme for healthcare professionals.
MedicAlert will work closely with runners to offer guidance and support in fundraising. They can offer sponsorship forms, access to their marathon donation website where you can also track your training, and provide a variety of options for how people can sponsor you.
