London Marathon

Are you Running the London Marathon?

If you have been accepted to run in the 2009 Flora London Marathon but are still looking for a charity to support - The MedicAlert Foundation wants to hear from you!

MedicAlert, the registered charity, provides an emergency medical identification system for people with hidden medical conditions or allergies. They are looking for local runners to help raise money for them at the London Marathon on April 26th.

Chris Lunn from MedicAlert said, "We would be delighted to hear from any accepted runners who would like to support MedicAlert. For every £25 raised, we can support the membership of someone on a low income who may need this vital service. Please get in touch and find out how you can help to save lives."

Money raised for MedicAlert will help provide the potentially life-saving service to all those who need it, regardless of their financial position. This includes many people with long-term, chronic medical conditions. Funds will also go towards maintaining and improving all services to Members, including manning the emergency response line and their extensive and on-going education and training programme for healthcare professionals.

MedicAlert will work closely with runners to offer guidance and support in fundraising. They can offer sponsorship forms, access to their marathon donation website where you can also track your training, and provide a variety of options for how people can sponsor you.

This April when you run in the London Marathon- run for MedicAlert!
