If you make a donation online, your card information and other details are held by Just Giving. If you make a purchase online your card information and other details are held by The MedicAlert Foundation.

The MedicAlert Foundation uses this information to help us understand more about how our site is used, so that we can improve it.
We also use it so that we can send you communications which you have requested and that may be of interest to you. These may concern campaigns, appeals, promotions etc.
3. Who has access to your information
The MedicAlert Foundation is committed to protecting the personal data of its supporters and members. Any details you give us will be held in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
The MedicAlert Foundation is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to third parties (unless we have your explicit permission to do so).
From time to time, where you have given permission, we may want to contact you about other MedicAlert services and products or pass your details to similar organisations.
When you are using our secure online donation pages, your donation is processed by Just Giving, who specialise in donations to charity buy online methods.
If you do not want to continue receiving information by email from us, please follow the instructions at the bottom of the email, which will tell you how to unsubscribe.
4. How you can access, update or delete your information
The accuracy of your information is important to The MedicAlert Foudnation. We are working on ways to make it easier for you to review and correct the information that The MedicAlert Foundation maintains about you. In the meantime, if you change email address, or any of the other information we hold is inaccurate or out of date, please communications@medicalert.org.uk or write to The DPA Officer, The MedicAlert Foundation, 1 Bridge Wharf, 156 Caledonian Road, London, N1 9UU, Tel. 0800 581 420.
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information The MedicAlert Foundation hold about you (we may charge £10 for information requests).
5. Security precautions in place to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of your information
When you give The MedicAlert Foundation personal information, we take steps to ensure that it is treated securely. Any sensitive information (such as credit or debit card details) is encrypted and protected with what we believe to be the best encryption software in the industry - 128 Bit encryption on SSL.
When you are on a secure page, a lock icon will appear on the bottom of web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer.
Non-sensitive details (your email address etc) is transmitted normally over the Internet, and this can never be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, MedicAlert cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your information, we make our best effort to ensure its security on our systems.
