Recommending MedicAlert®

On this page you will discover how you can recommend MedicAlert® to your colleagues and patients and which professional bodies and organisations recommend The MedicAlert Foundation.

Recommendation Is Protection

Emergency and medical professionals who recommend The MedicAlert Foundation to potential Members should recognise that they are not only assisting that individual but also their profession in the constant struggle to balance risk and performance in today's competitive working environment.

The more people with underlying medical conditions join The MedicAlert Foundation, the more knowledge the attending professional will have about their charge in an emergency and the lower the risk of a medical error occurring during their treatment.

MedicAlert® would like to thank our Endorsers and Supporters for their public recommendations to their members. However, the personal recommendation of a medical or emergency professional is equally as influential on a potential member's decision to join The MedicAlert Foundation.

To help you in your professional role to further increase awareness of The MedicAlert® Foundation, we can supply promotional materials, free of charge, targeted at patients as well as pre and post qualified medical and emergency professionals.

MedicAlert's Endorsers And Supporters

Teamwork is the cornerstone of the MedicAlert® identification system. The MedicAlert® Emblem was devised in 1953 by California based Dr Marion Collins to quickly warn fellow health professionals of his daughter Linda's fatal allergy to tetanus inoculations. Over half a century later MedicAlert® International is continuing his mission to protect the patient and the professional over the globe.
