Access your MedicAlert record online

As a MedicAlert member, you can choose to access and update your MedicAlert record online, via 'MyMedicAlert'.

'MyMedicAlert' allows you to review and amend your personal details, medical information, emergency contacts and scanned document. You can also purchase new medical ID jewellery, set up a Direct Debit for your membership fee, leave a review and more.

To register your existing ID, simply click the button below and follow the on screen guidance.

As a MedicAlert member, you can see and update your details online. In order to do this, you need to SWITCH ON your online account, which we call 'MyMedicAlert', if you have not already done so.

You just need your:

  • Date of birth
  • Your postcode
  • and your membership number - which is on your MedicAlert jewellery.

Switching on your online account is an easy, 5 minute process. There are a few things to do before you check your record is up to date.

First, go to the MedicAlert website. Hover over ‘MyMedicAlert’ and select ‘Existing Member’. Then, click ‘ Switch On Account’.

You will then need to fill in your membership number, your date of birth and your postcode. Now press Submit.

Step one. Your basic details will be pre-filled in the ‘Your Information’ form at the bottom of the page. Review them, enter a password, tick the ‘agree’ box and the press Next.

Step two. You will now be sent an email with a verification code in it. Check your mailbox for your unique access code allowing you to switch on your account. You can copy and paste this code directly into the verification box, or simply make a note of it and then type it in. Press Next.

Step three. Verification is immediate. You will now be invited to review your personal details. You will need to choose and answer 3 security questions and you can also opt in to receiving updates, offers and information from MedicAlert. You can also easily ensure Gift Aid is added to any donations you make to the charity. Press Next.

Step four. You will now be asked to add in some contact information, if you don’t already have these listed on your MedicAlert record: you will need at least one emergency contact, and it is a good idea to also add your Doctor and your hospital. You may have already provided this information and if so, this is a good opportunity to update, or simply review, any of it. Once completed, press Submit.

And that’s it! Congratulations, you have successfully switched on your online account. We recommend you spend a few minutes becoming familiar with the ‘MyMedicAlert’ layout and making sure that your records are completely up to date.
