As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic evolves, MedicAlerts remains as dedicated as ever to helping our members feel safe, knowing they are protected 24/7.

These are unprecedented and difficult times, however we are closely following government guidelines to protect our members and staff whilst ensuring our service is disrupted as little as possible.

Most importantly, our 24/7 emergency helpline will remain available at all times.

How we’re here for you

NEW MEMBERS AND JEWELLERY ORDERS

We are currently operating as usual, including the production of medical ID jewellery. We are doing all we can to reduce our normal 10-day dispatch timeframe and currently new members are receiving their medical ID jewellery in as little as 3 working days.

We would therefore encourage new members and those needing new jewellery with updated information to not delay ordering in order to keep as safe as possible.

To support as many people as possible during this difficult time, we are offering a 15% discount on both MedicAlert membership and medical ID jewellery:

OUR MEMBERSHIP SERVICES TEAM

We are closely monitoring government updates and are prepared to activate our business continuity plan. This means that, in the case of a UK-wide or local lockdown, we will be able to continue assisting all our members via our usual phone line (01908 951 045) and email (info@medicalert.org.uk) services.

This will be managed by staff working from home, so please bear with us if there are small delays in responding to queries. Our business continuity plan ensures that we will remain available Monday to Friday 8am - 3:30pm, Saturday 9am - 3pm.

KEEPING YOU UPDATED

Government guidelines are likely to change in a number of ways during the coming weeks and months. We will continue to monitor all updates and take action as necessary. We will keep this page up to date and, where possible and appropriate, will post information on our main web pages, social media platforms and use email.

OUR EMERGENCY HELPLINE

As always, our 24/7 emergency helpline will continue to deliver the vital medical information stored in your MedicAlert record when needed, enabling swift and accurate treatment when seconds count. This service will remain available at all times.

What you can do

CHECK YOUR RECORD

To ensure we can provide you with the best possible support, it’s critical that your MedicAlert record is up to date – both your medical information and emergency contacts. This is the information we share with emergency personnel to ensure you receive fast and accurate treatment.

We encourage you to check your full record and make updates online - log into your MyMedicAlert account and click Medical Info. You can also call our Membership Services Team for assistance on 01908 951045.

KEEP YOURSELF SAFE

For those living with underlying medical conditions, there may be specific advice regarding Coronavirus. If you or a loved one lives with one of the below conditions, please make sure you have reviewed the information available from the leading charities and bodies.

If you are aware of any other illness-specific advice relating to COVID-19 that may be valuable to MedicAlert members, please let us know and we will continue to update this list.

KEEP OTHERS SAFE

Caring for others is so very important in these difficult times. Please don’t keep us a secret - let family and friends know about us, so we can help to keep them safe! Don’t forget to mention our new member pack, offering a years membership and a stainless steel medical ID for just £50 to support them during this difficult time.
