Voices of MedicAlert: Dose of 3 Docs

Dose of 3 Docs are three NHS doctors sharing honest, practical insights into health, wellbeing and life on the frontline of medicine. As GP specialty trainees, they use their platform to break down health information, promote preventative care, and empower people to better understand their bodies and medical needs.

After meeting in their first year as doctors, Dhruv, Maariya and Shahil quickly bonded over a shared passion for health, fitness and preventative medicine. What started as conversations between colleagues soon became Dose of 3 Docs - a space to share what it’s really like training as doctors, alongside accessible, evidence-based health and wellness advice.

As advocates for MedicAlert, they help raise awareness of the importance of clear, trusted medical information - especially in situations where someone may be unable to speak for themselves.

Meet the Doctors

Dhruv

Dhruv is a GP specialty trainee with a strong interest in public health, preventative medicine and climate change action for better health outcomes. During his early training, Dhruv rotated through General Surgery, General Medicine, Geriatrics, ENT, GP and Paediatrics. He later completed an MSc in Public Health, specialising in Health Economics, while working locum shifts and serving as Director of Climate and Health Communication for a non-profit organisation.

Outside of medicine, Dhruv enjoys running, spending time outdoors and discovering new food spots, always balancing clinical work with wellbeing and sustainability.

Maariya

Maariya is a GP trainee with particular interests in dermatology and women’s health. Her early medical training included rotations in General Medicine, Paediatrics, Liaison Psychiatry, Trauma & Orthopaedics, ENT and A&E. She later spent a year as a Junior Clinical Fellow in Intensive Care Medicine before taking time to travel across South America.

Away from work, Maariya loves trying new active hobbies from bouldering and tennis to hiking and can often be found relaxing with a good book and a cup of tea.

Shahil

Shahil is a GP trainee with a passion for medical education and a growing interest in Sports & Exercise Medicine and musculoskeletal health. His early training included rotations across General Medicine, Anaesthetics, General Surgery, Geriatrics, GP and A&E. He later worked as a Clinical Teaching Fellow, teaching medical students and running simulation sessions.

Outside of medicine, Shahil enjoys running, travelling, watching football and taking on DIY projects at home.

About Our Partnership

As doctors working across multiple healthcare settings, Dhruv, Maariya and Shahil understand how vital clear, accessible medical information is in emergencies. Through their partnership with MedicAlert, they help highlight how medical IDs and nurse-verified records support faster, safer decision-making - giving confidence to patients, families and healthcare professionals alike.

By combining clinical experience with approachable, relatable content, Dose of 3 Docs are helping more people understand how preparation, prevention and trusted medical information can make a real difference when it matters most.
