Over the phone

Call us on 01908 951045 to speak to a Membership Services Advisor who will process your request and advise on any questions you may have. Please note our office opening hours are Monday to Friday: 8am to 3:30pm



Log into your 'MyMedicAlert' account and simply go to the 'Purchase History' section. Find your order and click on the 'Return' to fill in the form. Please select the Disc Exchange service under 'Reason for return'.


Once processed, you will need to securely post your medical ID jewellery to:

We recommend you use a 'signed for service' to allow for tracking, as MedicAlert will not be responsible for any jewellery not received.

Once we have received your jewellery, we will then call you to take payment over the phone (if you'd prefer to send us a cheque, please include this in your parcel). One of our expert jewellers will then complete the work needed and send you back your jewellery as soon as possible.

Pricing structure

Including p&p, costs range between: 

  • Silver - £74.95 to £84.95
  • Gold - £92.95 to £122.95

Payment for your request is determined by your disc size and type. 

If there's any additional work required that may incur extra costs, a member of the team will contact you directly to discuss the work before proceeding.

Please note that:

  • We will retain your old disc to offset the cost, keeping the exchange cost effective.
  • We can only exchange your disc for the same size i.e. standard size gold disc for a standard size gold disc.
  • We do not offer this service for stainless steel products.
  • As of September 2019, Rose Gold was discontinued and any remaining stocks have now been used. We are therefore unable to offer exchange discs for Rose Gold items.

Keeping your jewellery up-to-date

As a benefit to your membership, we offer a 'Disc Exchange' service for our silver and gold medical ID jewellery.
This means you can send us your bracelet, necklace or charm to get the MedicAlert disc swapped with a new one. 

This is particularly helpful if you want to update your disc's engraving without the cost of a whole new piece of jewellery.

Old Style Discs

If your jewellery uses an older style disc, which looks different to those currently available in our shop, we may not be able to offer a disc exchange. If you believe that your jewellery may be affected, please get in touch with our team on 01908 951 045 and take photos of your ID if possible. We will then advise on the best option to suit your needs.
