Making your jewellery perfect for you

We want you to be completely happy with your MedicAlert ID jewellery. Your jewellery provides valuable information in an emergency situation, so we aim to have your size alterations or repairs completed as quickly as possible.


If you have ordered or received the wrong size, having your alteration undertaken by MedicAlert ensures that your product's warranty remains unaffected. Simply let us know the finished size or other change that you require.

 Please note that due to the patterned nature of some of our chains, the size may differ by approx 5mm from the length requested.


Issues due to a manufacturer's fault will be repaired for free within the warranty period. All other repairs will be priced as listed below.

Please note that there may be a difference in components used from those originally used to create your item, due to stock changes, which may alter the item size slightly. If we believe there to be a large size change, we will contact you to discuss the options available. 

Pricing structure

Payment for your request is determined by the metal type of your jewellery.
Including postage & packaging, these costs are:

Stainless Steel - from £13.95
Silver - from £29.95
Gold - from £39.95

If there are any additional charges for the alteration or repair of your MedicAlert ID, a member of the team will contact you directly.

Old Style Discs

If your jewellery uses an older style disc, which looks different to those currently available in our shop, we may not be able to repair or alter it. If you believe that your jewellery may be affected, please get in contact with our team on 01908 951045 and take photos of your ID if possible. We will then advise on the best option to suit your needs.

If you would prefer to fill in a printed form, please download our form below and include it with your jewellery when sending it back to us.



Simply log into your 'MyMedicAlert account' then go to the 'Purchase History' section. Find your order and click on 'Return' to fill in our form.


Once processed, you will need to securely post your jewellery to:

We recommend you use a tracked 'signed for' service, as MedicAlert will not be responsible for any jewellery not received.

Once received, we will assess your jewellery and, if required, call you to make any recommendations. After the work required is agreed, we will pass it to one of our expert jewellers to complete the work and send back your jewellery as soon as possible. This normally takes 10 working days to complete.
