Kind sponsors of the Early Start Programme
Lions Club International helped establish MedicAlert as a UK charity in 1964. Since then, we have worked together to protect vulnerable children living with medical conditions and allergies. This lead to the establishment of the Early Start Programme in 2013, sponsored through the Lions Club International.
The programme supports children living with hidden medical conditions by providing free MedicAlert membership every year up until their 10th birthday, along with an item of medical ID jewellery. The programme has protected over 500 children so far.

Joshua lives with several conditions, including asthma and severe allergies. He became a MedicAlert member through the ‘Early Start Programme’ when he was just 3 years old.

For every 2 places that Lions Clubs International funds, MedicAlert sponsors an additional place for the programme, helping to support more children around the UK with hidden medical conditions.
