We were proud to meet with the College of Paramedics recently, as part of our ongoing commitment to improving emergency outcomes for people living with medical conditions, allergies, or other vulnerabilities. Our CEO Rob Burley, Operations Manager Hannah Colton, and Trustee Michael Bradfield (a paramedic himself) met with the College’s Chief Executive Tracy Nicholls and Chief Operating Officer Lewis Andrews to explore how we can work more closely together. It was a productive and inspiring conversation centred around a shared goal: making sure no one is held back by a health condition in an emergency. What’s Next? Together, we identified several exciting opportunities to collaborate, including: Joint webinars for both MedicAlert members and paramedics Support from the College in shaping and improving our services Increased awareness and understanding of MedicAlert among frontline responders Rob Burley, MedicAlert CEO, shared: “At MedicAlert, we are passionate about collaboration and are committed to supporting our members by working in partnership with health professionals. It was great to meet with the College and to start a conversation about possible joint initiatives and supporting each other's missions. By meeting with groups such as the College, we can ensure that our service is as effective as possible and that key health professionals understand it and can use it to support our members in an emergency.” Looking Ahead This meeting marks the beginning of what we hope will be a valuable and lasting partnership. By working together, we can ensure that the people who rely on MedicAlert are even better supported by the professionals who respond when it matters most.
