Julianne Ponan MBE is the founder of Creative Nature and a leading allergy advocate. She has lived with multiple severe allergies and anaphylaxis since early childhood, and uses her voice to raise awareness, campaign for change, and support others living with hidden conditions.
Julianne grew up in Surrey and began having serious reactions as a toddler. After collapsing following milk and cookies, she went through months of tests. By age four, she was diagnosed with multiple allergies, including peanuts, tree nuts, sesame, chickpeas, lentils, and triggers found in everyday products like perfumes and skincare. Allergy safety quickly became part of daily life.
Even tiny traces of an allergen can cause a life-threatening reaction. That means Julianne has to plan carefully when eating out, travelling, or trying new places. Still, she refuses to let allergies limit her independence or ambitions.
Julianne founded Creative Nature, an allergy-friendly brand with nutritious vegan products free from the top 14 allergens. She’s also a long-standing campaigner, working with organisations like the Anaphylaxis Campaign and Teal App. Her mission is to help people with allergies live confidently through education, awareness, and advocacy.
Julianne wears a MedicAlert ID because it speaks for her in an emergency. Her bracelet clearly shows her anaphylaxis and severe allergies, and connects responders to her secure medical record through the 24/7 helpline. For her, it’s not just jewellery - it’s reassurance, freedom, and safety wherever she goes.
