MedicAlert attends the Allergy & Free From Show 2026 12 May 2026 MedicAlert Over the weekend, MedicAlert was proud to be a part of the 2026 Allergy & Free From Show at the NEC, Birmingham. The event brought together people with all different allergies and conditions, to educate and inspire in a safe environment. Stands included free from food suppliers, medical support, activities, and charities like MedicAlert to inspire attendees that their allergies do not stop them from living a fulfilling life. Meeting members and hearing stories MedicAlert’s stand was a constant talking point throughout the show and was full of people telling us their stories about how they overcame life’s challenges. We were able to educate people about what the charity does and assisted in the sign-up process, giving more people peace of mind. Members who signed up on the day received our show bundle and were able to walk away with some great additional items, such as EpiPen holders and allergy cards. We were also approached by members who have used the service for many years, and it was great to hear how MedicAlert has saved their lives on different occasions. MedicAlert nurse, Emma, was on hand to explain the vital importance of how she checks every record and provides reassurance that all the information that goes on an ID is accurate and suitable for first responders. Voices of MedicAlert One of the great moments at the show was hearing MedicAlert ambassador, Julianne Ponan MBE, talk at 2 of the shows. On Saturday, she led a speech on the ‘Inspiration Stage’ where she discussed travelling with allergies and how her brand ‘Creative Nature’ has helped people travel safely on flights. One of the key takeaways was when she talked about how her MedicAlert ID is essential for giving her peace of mind every day and when travelling. On Sunday, she ran a cookery show with 13-year-old MedicAlert member, Reuben, where they made some allergy-safe sticky toffee pudding. They both talked about the value of their IDs, and the result of this brought many people to our stand to discuss the service further. Throughout the weekend, MedicAlert were joined by Chloe Dickson, one of the ‘Voices of MedicAlert’. Chloe was able to help members learn about the value of MedicAlert, having been a member since she was a child. She also interviewed people and walked around the show, telling people about MedicAlert and bringing them to the stand. Another ‘Voice of MedicAlert’, Imogen, and her mother, Kerry, were also attending the event, and it was great to have them at the stand to meet the team and discuss the service with interested attendees. Looking forward The event was an overall success and an inspiring display of safety for the allergy community. We are looking forward to meeting everyone next year and meeting new people, to hear their stories. Article Categories MedicAlert News Health and Wellbeing Medical Conditions Allergies
