Local MP, Callum Anderson, Visits MedicAlert 19 August 2025 MedicAlert At MedicAlert, we’re proud to be a charity that has been protecting lives for over 60 years. Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming our local MP, Callum Anderson, to our offices to learn more about our mission, meet our members and even experience first-hand how a MedicAlert ID is created. Meeting Members with Real Stories During his visit, Callum met two of our members, Clare and Amanda, who both live in his constituency. They shared their powerful personal stories about serious medical emergencies they had faced in the past, and how their MedicAlert ID made a life-saving difference in those moments. For Clare and Amanda, their IDs provided vital information when they were unable to speak for themselves, ensuring emergency responders had the details they needed in seconds. Their experiences reminded us all that a MedicAlert emblem is far more than an ID. It’s reassurance on the wrist, peace of mind in every situation and confidence that your voice will always be heard. Creating His Own MedicAlert ID One of the highlights of the visit came when Callum used our new laser to create his very own MedicAlert ID. This hands-on experience gave him a unique insight into the precision and care that goes into every emblem. Our new laser not only improves durability and accuracy, but also allows us to provide members with beautifully crafted IDs that they can wear with pride. Seeing Callum create his own emblem was a great reminder of the personal connection our members have with their MedicAlert ID, a symbol of safety, trust and confidence. Looking Ahead: Collaboration and Awareness Alongside hearing our members’ stories, Callum also joined us in important conversations about the future. Together, we discussed how we can work more closely with the local NHS to raise awareness of MedicAlert, and the potential for recommending our service more widely to people who could benefit from it. Our discussions also touched on NHS reform and the Government’s 10-year health plan, considering how these changes could better support people living with medical conditions. As a charity, we’re determined to ensure that everyone who needs the protection of a MedicAlert ID knows about it and has access to it. A Mission That Matters It was a privilege to welcome Callum, introduce him to our dedicated members and show him how a service like MedicAlert continues to make such a difference in people’s lives. His visit highlighted not only the importance of what we do, but also the value of partnership between charities, healthcare services and government in supporting people living with health conditions.
