After suffering a heart attack 20 years ago, Jacqui was recommended by her cardio surgeon to join MedicAlert, which she did, and immediately felt more confident knowing her conditions would be picked up in the event of an emergency.

She now has a few more complex issues such as asthma, diabetes and COPD to name but a few, so it is even more important to her to wear her diabetes bracelet at all times.

When asked if there was a time in which her MedicAlert ID had proved invaluable, Jacqui replied:

"About 5 years ago whilst working in London I was accidentally knocked down a very long escalator from about halfway. I was rendered unconscious for a while but vaguely remember one of the paramedics telling his colleague that I was wearing an MA bracelet and giving him the details. Apparently, he called the ED at University College Hospital and gave them the details on the bracelet which enabled them to get access to my details before I arrived there."

"I don't know what would have happened had I not been wearing my bracelet. The Doctor told me I had a very lucky escape. Thanks MedicAlert for your continued support."
