MedicAlert ID jewellery is custom made to the size requested when ordering and engraved with your vital medical information. Your jewellery will be handcrafted by our team of in-house expert jewellers, ensuring a high-quality product which we will proudly stand behind with quality checks at every step.

To ensure you choose the right size, please refer to our measurement guide before placing your order. We recommend measuring your wrist rather than existing jewellery, as we make the size to the inner circumference of the bracelet or necklace rather than end-to-end on a ruler.

Please note:

1. All length measurements INCLUDE the disc, therefore we do not recommend measuring an existing piece of jewellery. For bracelets, we recommend measuring your wrist, as we make the size to the inner circumference of the bracelet rather than end-to-end on a ruler. More information can be found in our measurement guide.
2. Due to the varying size of components used to create our bracelets, exact sizing of finished pieces is not always possible. In these situations, we always round up to the nearest centimetre; please bear this in mind when ordering your bracelet.
3. Some components, such as clasps, may slightly differ from those shown in the product imagery, as we use several suppliers to maintain availability.
4. Our metal types may contain small amounts of nickel and other base metals.
5. All of the silver (925) and gold (9 carat) that we work with meets quality standards and has been hallmarked by the UK Assay Office, but the precise alloy of each component may vary slightly as we use several suppliers.
6. We do NOT recommend engraving your emergency contact details (names or telephone numbers) on your disc.
7. We do not recommend including medical instructions on your disc.
8. We will correct spelling mistakes using British English, as well as formatting errors and the use of correct medical terms.
9. Our registered nurses may have other suggested changes. They will contact you to discuss these, if necessary.
10. If you need any advice on what wording to have engraved, please ring us on 01908 951 045 and ask to speak to a nurse. Alternatively, you can add a note in the special delivery instructions.

We guarantee that your medical ID jewellery will be made to the highest standards by our expert jewellers and it will be delivered to you in pristine condition. 

MedicAlert provides a Warranty on all manufacturer defects from the dispatch date as follows:

• 3 months for all beaded items
• 6 months for Sports Bands, Activity Bands, Wristband Tags and Athena Leather Bracelets
• 12 months for all other jewellery

The Warranty covers: defects in the material or workmanship of clasps, chains, straps or wires, watch batteries and the readability of the disc.

The Warranty does not cover: repairs made by anyone other than our skilled jewellery team; products damaged from everyday wear and tear; tarnishing of silver; scratching of the disc, enamel, chain and attachments; damage resulting from misuse or accidental handling; exposure to lotions and creams; lost/misplaced products; and changes in engraved information after the engraved product is approved.  

In the unlikely event that you have a problem with the jewellery within the warranty period, you can return the item to us for inspection and we will either repair or replace it. 

Your statutory rights are not affected by this guarantee. 

How to care for your MedicAlert ID jewellery

• Wash metal and silicone straps regularly in warm, soapy water.
• Spot clean fabric or leather straps and beads, using a damp cloth.
• Do not use abrasive cloths and avoid contacts with cleaning products.
• Perspiration, perfume and creams can increase tarnishing. Avoid contact where possible. 
• Please note; when your jewellery is new and highly polished, a cleaning cloth may dull its appearance.
• Enamel can be affected by wear and tear. Avoid denting or scratching the enamel. 
• To avoid scratching, do not wear silver or gold jewellery alongside other items. 
• Do not bathe or swim in silver or gold jewllery.

Storing your jewellery

• Store all jewellery individually, as storing jewellery together means that they could potentially damage one another.
• Store in a cool, dark & dry environment – such as a jewellery box or pouch.

We aim to dispatch all orders within 10 working days of receiving payment.

However, sometimes we may need to contact you to check some medical information which can cause a small delay if we cannot reach you. 

All orders are charged at the following rates:

• £2.85 - for all orders up to £53.99. This is a standard service via Royal Mail.
• £7.75 - for all orders over £54. This is sent 'Special Recorded Delivery' and requires a signature.
• £11.75 - for all international postage.
